The hourglass is beautiful not surprised at all. It arrived extremely well packed with bubble plastic and inside the carton still under polystyrene. There is no record, I guess the syringe has something to do with the air bubbles in the hourglass. Thank you very much, I recommend without problem.

Came securely packaged. You can slow a bit by doing complete upside down or make a bit faster by turning to the side. Bought one for my boss last spring. All of us play with it in the office. She then bought one for someone and I got one for home. I like to just concentrate on while waiting on her. We have a stressful job in healthcare and it is nice to just go take a break and concentrate on the sand moving and the new picture and closing other things out a few minutes.
Bought the smaller one, but I really liked it so I got the bigger one and took the smaller one into my classroom. The kids cant stop playing with it.
My grandma always had one of these in her house. I bought this to show my kids... we are all loving the fun designs this makes. It's calming for everyone too.
I ordered the 7” one for my desk and love it! It reminds me of one I had as a kid. Some people have complained that the sand just falls immediately to the bottom, but not if you make sure the bubbles go across (see the pictures I posted). If the bubbles are across, it takes several minutes for it to make your sand sculpture. It’s easy to use and looks nice in its stand.
Sometimes you just need to flip the sandglass and watch the sand fall to escape the reality of working in an office cubicle. It's relaxing to see the sand falling while you're working and a fun conversation piece too. It's glass but because it's round it's easier to handle for smaller hands. Still, I wouldn't let a kid run off with it as it will break if dropped.It looks great and helps relax in a busy day. I recommend getting this for your workspace.
My husband and I are enjoying this. We make new sand-scapes everyday. I was prepared to add more air or water with a syringe to get the balance right for optimal movement, and there is a tiny hole along the side of the frame, so I image you'd be able to do that if necessary, but it seemed right the way it came, so I haven't tried it. The frame fits well in the base and keeps it from falling over. The base is very light, so the whole thing could still get knocked over pretty easy I would think. We haven't dropped ours yet so not sure how sturdy it really is, but it seems good. Do I wish it was cheaper? Yes. I wish everything was cheaper. But I think it was worth getting this one, and in the bigger size. We really like it.
Love this new addition to my desk. Part toy, part relaxation, part art... it’s the best of all of these. Feels sturdy and looks classy.
The sand painting works great, my son and I have spent a lot of time flipping it over to see what new patterns it will make. I got the blue one, and the colors are pretty. There is a fair amount of copper glitter in the mix. I didn’t have any difficulty getting the sand to flow, but the rate is different every time. I usually have a more successful flow rate than my son and I think it’s because I flip it faster and more evenly.
This framed sand art was a replacement for one I had ordered from a high-end gift company. It had been so poorly packaged that it arrived as a box of shattered glass and loose, wet sand. Such a disappointment. So I came to Amazon looking for a replacement. I found this one, and not only was it nicer and much more reasonably priced than the first one, it was very well packaged and arrived intact--yay! It was a gift for my boyfriend and he loved it!
This has got to be one of the best and cheapest art decor i own or that ive seen, my best friend recommended this to me and I ended off buying one for myself and another for a close friends birthday, its awesome! If you get it right the flow of sand can take more than a day to form and the images you can create are awesome, its quite therapeutic too, ive got into the habit of starting it before work and seeing how good or bad it is when I get home. I dont think you can go wrong with any color, seriously if you like interesting art or gadgets get this
